Meynard’s’
family is producing wine from 1916. Today,
Jacques
Meynard cultivates 27 hectares of vines in
sensible crop protection farming, trying to keep
a traditional Bordeaux
style for
some wines and creating modern style, more
on the
fruit for the others.
Château
des Valentons Canteloup, located in
Saint-Loubes,
15 kilometers from Bordeaux, between
Garonne
and Dordogne, is planted of 65% merlot,
20%
Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet franc.
Low
yields, short cut and disbudding are done to get
premium
quality grapes.
